65 MPH
Using ICM Photography (a genre combining the use of a slow shutter speed and intentional camera movement), 65 MPH is a series of pictures I took as a passenger while traveling through the San Joaquin Valley. Growing up in this valley and revisiting these roads with their varied terrain and changing climate brought back memories of my childhood. At eight years old, as a passenger in my father’s 1950’s station wagon, it felt to me as if the car was speeding at 100 mph! Although I was barely tall enough to see out the car window, I will always remember the landscape – a magnificent, colorful blur, never to be forgotten.
