PUBLIC TRANSIT

Taking public transportation is an invitation to meet the people of a city. Young and old, we are packed together often struggling to find a place to sit or stand. Most riders want peace and quiet and yet if there is a disruption, an immediate camaraderie forms and we are all in that train together.

As a street photographer, traveling on local transit is alluring for me. With each station stop, new subjects enter and leave. The variety of riders and visual opportunities are never ending.
